Simple Simon’s, Canterbury, 20th January 2002:
Al (a bit drunk!) and Shergold twelve-string captured on tape by Phil Davis (thanks, Phil). The “Chatham girls” song got its live debut, although I have to admit to abject terror playing this one! The usual set closer was preceded by a bit of Grieg. Audience reaction was good, as usual (mind, there were some very strong, not to mention heavily manned acts on that night).
