St George’s Street, Canterbury, 7th September 2002:
This was a free gig for the campaign to prevent the down-grading of the Kent & Canterbury Hospital. It took place in the middle of St. George’s St, Canterbury and featured, among others, me backing Katie Bradley and doing some of my own songs. Odd atmosphere this, barking “What’s Under The Stairs?” at quizzical Saturday lunchtime shoppers, but all in aid of a very important cause. Despite a decidedly flatulent PA, some strange earthing noises, and a bit of rain, there was a healthy crowd and I didn’t scare away too many people before they made a donation.
