Rumble has been reviewed in the demo round-up in the new issue (number
of Blank Stares and Cricket Claps fanzine, which you can download as a PDF from their site. The demo reviews are supposedly by has-been DJ Paul Gambaccini and Big Tuna’s resident psychopath Bobby Peru, who don’t appear to like us! We can still get some good selective quotes out of it though.

Rumble has had another review. That makes it 14 in total. This one is at Heathen Angel. It’s a bit ambivalent, but not entirely hostile and it’s similar to criticisms we’ve had from other people. We still managed to score 5/10!

Subba Cultcha have reviewed Rumble. Read it here. Reasonably positive. I’m not sure what made them think the daft phone intros were meant to be sinister, but I think the comparison with The Who Sell Out is fairly accurate.

I’ve just found that we got a good review from the notoriously unpredicatble and hard to please Shane in Unpeeled zine. Although he’s harshly condescending about my press pack (I was only trying to be nice!) he loves the music itself.

Rumble has just been reviewed by Paper Jam and they liked it. Interesting that they liked Godfrey’s Grave and Beautiful Hypothesis, which some other reviewers hated! Also quite ironic that getting “big ups” from our “celebrity” friends (an idea stolen from Jurassic 5!) has fallen flat as no-one seems to have any idea who Luke Smith is.
